Short answer
The DAMSelection shortlist for enterprise multi-brand organisations names five DAM candidates: Adobe AEM Assets, Aprimo, Bynder, OpenText and Orange Logic. Forrester named all five vendors Leaders in The Forrester Wave: Digital Asset Management Systems, Q1 2026. DAMSelection ranks them only after each vendor runs three scripted scenarios, starting with a 40-brand portfolio served by regional marketing teams.
Facts on this page are verified against vendor documentation and public sources, each linked. Scenario scores publish after the scripted demo round.
Who this shortlist is for
The enterprise multi-brand shortlist serves organisations that run many brands, regions and agencies from one asset library. The economic buyer is usually a CMO or VP Brand, the technical evaluator an enterprise architect, and the daily owner a central DAM manager.
Use this shortlist when three conditions hold:
- Several brands share one DAM tenant and need separate permissions, portals and metadata vocabularies.
- Regional marketing teams localise central campaigns into many languages.
- External agencies upload and download assets under brand-specific rules.
DAMSelection assessment: a single-brand marketing team gets a better starting point from the mid-market marketing teams shortlist. Organisations whose DAM must feed a PIM first should start with the B2B manufacturers shortlist. The enterprise fit guide covers wider requirements.
What the scenarios demand
The three enterprise scenarios test brand separation, language scale and external access, which together decide whether one DAM can serve a whole portfolio.
| Scenario | What the vendor must show | Criteria it tests |
|---|---|---|
| A 40-brand portfolio with regional marketing teams | One tenant with brand-level permissions, vocabularies and portals; regional admins manage their own users | Metadata and taxonomy flexibility; administration and total cost profile |
| Global campaign launch in 12 languages | Localised variants linked to the master asset, metadata in 12 languages and search that works in each | Search and AI discovery; workflow and approvals |
| Agency onboarding with brand-specific permissions | Agency users who see one brand only, upload into a review state and lose access on a set date | Brand portal and sharing; security, hosting and compliance |
DAMSelection assessment: the metadata model decides success in all three scenarios. Design the brand, region and language fields before the first demo with the metadata model builder.
Why each candidate is on the list
All five candidates share one documented credential: Forrester named each vendor a Leader in its Q1 2026 DAM evaluation. Each subsection adds what the vendor's facts file documents and what to test.
Adobe AEM Assets
Fact: Forrester lists Adobe as a Leader without naming a product. DAMSelection maps that listing to AEM Assets as a Cloud Service. Adobe hosts the service in public cloud data centres in the US, Canada, Europe (London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt), Australia, Japan and Singapore. The hosting location is provisioned at contract signing.
Content Hub, the AEM Assets distribution portal, includes 250 Limited users in Assets Ultimate and 50 in Assets Prime. Assets Prime excludes UI extensibility, API-driven automation and custom code deployment, and Adobe lists Dynamic Media as an add-on.
What to test: run the agency scenario in Content Hub with brand-restricted Limited users. Ask Adobe which tier the 40-brand set-up needs.
Aprimo
Fact: Aprimo was named a Leader in the Q1 2026 Wave. Aprimo sells DAM next to Plan, Spend, Content Portfolio Management, Productivity and Personalization modules. Aprimo runs as SaaS on Microsoft Azure and holds SOC 2 Type II, audited annually.
The Aprimo trust centre states no ISO/IEC 27001 certificate, hosting regions or data residency options. Aprimo describes its March 2026 Agentic DAM as persistent agents with human-in-the-loop review and audit trails.
What to test: ask Aprimo to name the hosting region for EU brands in writing. Run the 12-language launch once with agents switched on and once without.
Bynder
Fact: Bynder offers EU-only hosting in Frankfurt next to US-only and Global options. Bynder holds SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001:2022, ISO 27018:2019 and ISO 22301:2019. Speech-to-Text transcribes audio and video from over 100 languages.
Natural Language Search is fully optimised for English only, and the AI search features require a contract upgrade.
What to test: search the 12-language campaign in three non-English languages. Price the AI search upgrade in the first quote.
OpenText
Fact: Forrester named OpenText a Leader in the Q1 2026 Wave, and OpenText credits OpenText Digital Asset Management. OpenText sells it off cloud, in private cloud or as a managed service, with ISO/IEC 27001 stated on its G-Cloud listing.
What to test: run the agency scenario with registered consumer users, which G-Cloud 15 prices at GBP 850 per 100 a year. Confirm the product in the RFI answer, since OpenText also sells OpenText Core Digital Asset Management.
Orange Logic
Fact: Orange Logic was named a Leader in the Q1 2026 Wave. Customers store assets on AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud, connect local storage through Media Bridge and tier cold assets to Amazon S3 Glacier.
Orange Logic For Teams, launched in May 2026, sells DAM, MAM, Brand Experiences and Corporate Archive per team. Customers expand by team or module without migration. The security page refers to ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type 2 audits without publishing a certificate. The infrastructure page names no hosting regions.
What to test: run the 40-brand scenario with brand teams added one at a time. Request the ISO certificate and the region list before the demo.
How the candidates differ on hosting and pricing
The five candidates differ most in what they publish about hosting. Adobe, Bynder and OpenText name locations, while Aprimo and Orange Logic leave them to the contract.
| Vendor | Hosting documented | Pricing documented |
|---|---|---|
| Adobe AEM Assets | US, Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan and Singapore; location set at contract signing | Quote-based Prime and Ultimate tiers with Power, Collaborator and Limited users |
| Aprimo | SaaS on Microsoft Azure; regions not published | Quote-based by users and modules; AI Elite and connectors priced separately |
| Bynder | AWS; EU-only in Frankfurt, US-only or Global | Quote-based package priced on users, storage and usage |
| OpenText | UK and EEA on G-Cloud; private cloud option | GBP 240 per user a year on G-Cloud 15 |
| Orange Logic | Customer chooses AWS, Azure or Google Cloud; regions not published | Contract-based quote; one 36-month Orange DAM contract at USD 600,000 on AWS Marketplace |
Fact: OpenText publishes a per-user price on G-Cloud, and Orange Logic shows one contract price on AWS Marketplace, so the other comparisons start from a quote. DAMSelection assessment: storage, egress and AI credit consumption drive five-year DAM cost more than licence fees. Put each quote through the TCO calculator with the same asset volume, brand count and user mix.
How to run the selection
The enterprise selection follows the seven-checkpoint Selection Route, with this shortlist as the input to Checkpoint 4. Five candidates suit a first RFI round; two or three should reach the scripted demo.
- Map brands, regions, agencies and asset volumes per brand.
- Define the brand, region and language metadata fields and the permission model.
- Send the RFI and ask every vendor for hosting regions, certificates and pricing drivers in writing.
- Send the three scenarios with your own sample assets, following the scripted demo method.
- Score each demo with the public scoring model and check references at multi-brand scale.
DAMSelection assessment: generic vendor demos carry no selection value at this scale. Fit with your brand model shows only when the vendor runs your scenarios on your assets.
Scenarios scored
- A 40-brand portfolio with regional marketing teams
- Global campaign launch in 12 languages
- Agency onboarding with brand-specific permissions

Frequently asked
What is the best DAM for a large enterprise with many brands?
DAMSelection names five candidates for enterprise multi-brand organisations: Adobe AEM Assets, Aprimo, Bynder, OpenText and Orange Logic, all Forrester DAM Leaders in Q1 2026. The best fit depends on your brand, region and permission model, so DAMSelection ranks them only after scripted demos on three scenarios.
Why is Bynder on an enterprise DAM shortlist?
Bynder sits in the DAMSelection brand and marketing DAM segment, and Forrester named Bynder a Leader in its Q1 2026 DAM Wave next to four enterprise platforms. Bynder also documents EU-only hosting in Frankfurt and SOC 2 Type II plus three ISO certifications.
Which enterprise DAM vendors publish their hosting regions?
Adobe publishes data centre locations for AEM Assets as a Cloud Service, and Bynder documents EU-only, US-only and Global hosting options. Aprimo names Microsoft Azure without regions, Orange Logic leaves the storage location to the customer, and OpenText's G-Cloud listing names UK and EEA hosting.
Does a Forrester Wave Leader listing replace a DAM selection?
A Forrester Wave Leader listing shows how one analyst evaluated a vendor across the market. DAMSelection uses the Q1 2026 listing to build this list, then tests each vendor on the buyer's scenarios, assets and scoring model.
